I'm just trying to get the word out. There are tons of sales right now.

I picked up BF: BC2 for $6.67. I had been waiting for the game to go on sale.

There is also a $25 package that includes every single valve game. There is a similar package for rockstar games.

Anyways, have a Merry Christmas everyone.

Ha! same here. I'm a sucker for Steam deals.

Right now I'm juggling Dirt 2, Bioshock, Knights of the Old Republic, Psychonauts, Supreme Commander 2, and now Bad Company 2. I got all of these for less than $10 a piece.

I came across hot deals on mmorpg game items on a virtual marketplace for this occasion. I got the Adventurer’s Starter Pack for Rose Online just for $1.20!

Happy Holidays.

Lol, join the brotherhood! :)  I waited till the countdown timer went to zilch and picked up Bio Shock 2 for 13.39 and the FEAR collection for 9.97! Talk about being a sucker, I beat you to it! :D

Anyways, here's a supplementary link which lists all the games up for grabs as of now.

Just picked up NFS Undercover too! Bought Bioshock 2 for $13.39 day before yesterday, now it's $9.99. :(

Is there any possibility they'll drop the price of Black Ops? I just can't justify $59.99 for that!

There is no way that is going to happen. Black Ops was just released last month.

How long will those discounts are available? I want BC2 but I'm not in my home now to use my credit card.

@namelessonez: COD: BO is more an COD: MW expansion pack that a full game, $59.99 isn't a good deal for that game.

highly doubtful. MW2 is still listed at 59.99 and the only time i can remember it being on sale on steam it was priced at 45.99 (i think)

I was looking at the deals today and I can't believe Modern Warfare still sells for $30. I mean there are still a ton of active servers, but I just think that is overpriced. There are a bunch of newer/better games I would rather spend the money on.

Activision is one of the most expensive games seller, so, -50% OFF is a good deal for a company that usually never enter to those discounts.

No doubt. I'm just surprised that there is enough demand for that game at a normal price of $30.

Yeah, and be honest. MW2 and BO aren't the best Infinity ward games on COD saga.

For sure. Since I've come home for the holidays I have been searching for my original COD game disk and cd key. I played that game for hours at a time on my ancient compaq desktop.

On the other hand, console games rarely dip below $60 until they're a "greatest hit" years later lol.

On the other hand :o  wait, I only have two hands  . Any way, on consoles you don't need "minimum requirements" for run the game.

Well, that certainly dampens my 'spirits' a li'l. Just can't bring myself to spending 60 bucks. Any-hoo...

The Steam Sale will be on till Jan 2nd but the deals will change everyday. For eg, Bioshock 2 was going for $13.39 instead of $19.99 and now it's for $9.99 instead of $13.99. I guess they'll be adding some new titles as well(?).

So many games so cheap, its like Christmas.

Oh Wait...

3 games bought today alone.

Assassins Creed 2 is highly tempting at that price, but theres the crazy DRM which I refuse to support, steam by itself should be good enough DRM really...

Man, I splurged on both Mass Effect 1 & 2. Now I really have to play catch up on games...

The complete edition of BF2 was on sale for $5. That's an awesome deal for anyone who wants to stray from the likes of COD and BC2. The community for BF2 is awesome with plenty of servers and some fantastic mods. At least last time I checked it still was pretty active.

Well, MW2 is 50% off ($30) but I can't justify spending that much on a shooter when I only spent $7 for BC2. But if you love Modern Warfare then that's a pretty good deal. Who knows when the retail price for MW2 will drop...

Not worth it IMO. MW2 and Black Ops just aren't that good, unless you're reeeeaaally into multiplayer frag fests. Then it's pretty decent.

Agreed. Saint had just made the comment that Activision's games don't go on sale that often, so if you are in to the frag fests then it is a good deal.

By the way the deals seem to be repeating now. This should given people a second chance that might have missed it before. Lots of big name titles are on sale until tomorrow.

50% on MW2 isn't good, and BO at $54.99 is insane. For $10.20 I bought BC2 yesterday and I'm pretty sure that is a much better game.

I thought it was $6.80 yesterday???

I too think it's a better game but I have always preferred the BF games. I tend to enjoy them longer.

That was the 1st day (I lost it :(  ), yestarday was at $10.28, that even is more cheap that MW 1 at $14.99 on 2nd day.

Ah i see well that's still pretty good. I am almost done playing through the campaign and will be diving into the multiplayer after that. I'm loving the destruction element in the game. I'm hoping BC2 will hold me over (shooter wise) until BF3 comes out.

Wait so when did you buy it? I bought it back on the first day which was on 12/20 and it was $6.67.

The deal that started yesterday morning was BFBC2 for $6.80. This deal still has 2 1/2 hours left today.

When was it $10?

Yeah, it certainly does. I'm from Australia and the price for COD BO is 90 bucks (what a gip!), some games just arent available in this region (think Rockstar Games for one...) and everytime i made a transaction, I had to consider the 5 dollars to change currency from AUD to US (another gip, considering its all electronic payments... Grrr)

But I certainly stocked up on games for the year, spent about 120 bucks AUD, and got about 12 games including

Darksiders for 10
Batman Arkham Asylum for 10
Dragon Age Origins (and the sequel) for 30
A bundle of mini games for 10 (including Zombie Driver)
Empire and Napoleon Total War for 30
Mafia 2 for 20
X3 Terran Conflict for 10
Red Faction: Guerilla for 10

Hmm... maybe i spent more than i thought, my wife is going to LOVE that :)

You have to pay extra to exchange currency on Steam?? I'm quite sure I get billed in USD, but it simply does the exchange automatically and free into CAD. Aussies get screwed :(
