Have a question re: the A7V's support for ATA/100. I'd like to know if I can place 4 ATA/66/33 devices on the 2 channels provided for devices of that nature, as well as have 4 ATA/100 devices on the 2 channels provided ??

More particular to my situation.. I have an ATA/66 HDD and 2 CD-ROM drives. I'm looking at purchasing an ATA/100 HDD, and I'd like to know if I can place the ATA/100 drive on the 100 channel as my primary drive, and still have the ATA/66 devices hooked up as they are w/o any speed loss to the ATA/100 drive.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Yes, you can have two IDE devices on each connection. As long as you keep the ATA-100 and the others in their respective places. There are a bunch of forum questions from a couple weeks ago that explain the whole thing if you do a search...

You shouldn't have any speed loss, but you aren't being to specific.

hope I helped.
