This cop deserves a pay rise.

A police patrol officer in Chengdu, Sichuan in China found an illegal taxi and was trying to arrest the driver when the suspect drives away leaving the police officer to hang on to the bonnet of the vehicle for 5km reaching up to 150km/h, until eventually a backup group of police stop the car. The police fell unconscious after the car was stopped and was sent to the hospital.

In America a gunbattle would have raged across the city wounding at least 14 people ... as the taxi driver would naturally have had at least a Uzi.

The poor guy in the back of the taxi would have sued someone and became an instant celebrity on Barbara Walters.

The wife would have dumped him and gotten an interview on Oprah and then written a bestseller self help book.

The disgruntled kids in the family would have then shot the parents and been jailed ... then gotten off in a spectacular retrial.

A movie would have been made.

In China the cop probably had his pay docked while he was unconscious.

Most police in China can probably earn whatever was docked from their pay once they are on patrol and taking bribe. So don't worry about him.

If he is old and unfit, I am sure he's a goner.
