what is an ssid? i am trying to set up wireless internet on the WII and it is asking for an SSID

It will be the name of the network, most likely broadcast but if not then you can manually enter it.

The SSID is the name of your router ( Service set identifier)

a ssid is the name of your network.

You can find yours out by typing the up of your router into any web browser. To find the up of your router, first make sure you are connected via Ethernet to your router.

Then, go to your command prompt "cmd"

Start>run>CMD

Then, type "ipconfig" without brackets.

It should be listed. If you are prompted for a password, type in yours or the default pass and the network name should then be listed.
