Random Power Shut Off

I am using an ASUS board with Pentium 166MMX (yes that is right). For some odd reason, the computer randomly turns itself off. I am typing something or doing something on screen, and all of a sudden it just turns off. It is so weird. Any suggestions or fixes?

Aside from throwing it out the window, I would check the power supply. If the chip is that old the power supply might have had it by now. If the power flickers at all before it dies then that is probably the problem. If it just dies then I would suggest a little part swapping(if possible) to find the bad one.

It might be a thermally protected power supply overheating
