Gaming, system questions.

So I haven't done any PC gaming and was wondering what sort of gaming experience this setup would bring.

P8P67PRO
i7 2600
2x 4GB Vengance
2x GTX460 Asus 768MB
2x 320GB Samsung F1 RAID0

The last lot of gaming I did was PS3, things like GTAIV, SFII and GT5 but ended up with no time and sold everything.

My questions are -

Bottlenecking, what is it, any issues?
Using 768M instead of 1GB cards, any issues?
Would extra RAM, more than 4GB improve gaming?
Would an SSD dramatically improve gaming?
What level of system is needed to produce a similar gaming experiance as the PS3?

I've just been sent Mafia II with PHYSX free with a card I brought and want to try it out, any views on PHYSX and other decent game recommendations would be cool.

Thanks to anyone that can be bothered to answer all these questions, even if you know about some still answer.

Thanks.

This system is nice, will run games well on high/highest settings, no worries. As for ssd, loading times will be dramatically decreased, fast only on hdd-heavy apps though..
768 mb compared to 1 gb, well 1 gb has 256 bit compared to 192, and more memory , there is little difference, difference is seen on higher resolutions, at 1080p 1 gb is recommended..
As for ram 4gb is completely enough for gaming.

Get the 1gb GTX 460.
4gb is enough.
i5 2500 is as good as the i7 for GAMING.
SSD is good for loading things, such as loading screens, booting up the computer.
Also the ps3 is like 4 year old technology.. What is the resolution you're running at?
I can't say anything about physx, I haven't had an nvidia card since the 6's series.
Also like 55range said, the more v-ram the better at high resolutions.

@55range I already have the cards, brought them for Folding so didn't bother with the 1GB so 768MB it is.
So really no reason for 8GB, what about future games, will they utilize more ram?

@haxs101 ^Too late, had them a while now, wasn't planning on any gaming but can't resist giving this system a run. :D
I'm getting the 2600k because of HT and the F@H points.
The current monitor I have does 1680x1050 but I'm planning on hooking it up to a 37" 1080P TV, good idea??

@edalbkad When you say 768 not enough what do you mean, it won't run or it will slow down?
Was planning to get a Velociraptor so thats an option.
So this thing should blitz a PS3 then. :D

So is it fairly straight forward hooking it up to a 37" 1080P TV then?

Any game recs? I'm a bit out of touch.

Thanks for the feedback. [:bohleyk:1]

Dont worry if you have the 768 mb, it will work well..
No , if u really want get 6 gb, but not more, i use 6 gb, i dont think though that it uses more than 4 gb.. It also depends what you do, not for gaming..

How do you think an i7 920 clocked at the same speed as the i7 2600k with 3x2gig ram would compare?
It would be running on an Asus P6X58D-E.
