New sys Installing win98

I have a new asus a7v 1G chipset. Running WD 7200 ata100 drive. I'm trying to get win98 installed on it but the install fails just after checking the system (where it starts the initial file copy). I can copy the files manually from CD-Rom to HD. (of course this does me no good). I have tried using the standard ide as well as the ata100 on the HD, (keeping the CD rom on either the pri-master or sec-master). End result is the same. I have installed this many times on other systems with no problems. Any help would be great.

I finally got it to give me an error... error loading system.drv

I found it... In BIOS.. Primary Vid --> select pci or agp.. needed agp.
