System Restore will not "RESTORE"

System Restore in WinME, will make a restore point, either automatically or manually, but will not restore any saved point.

I've reinstaled the OS multiple times and everything is running OK. I've tried- tested system restore to see if it will actually restore, but it always says- unable to restore, changes have not not been made.

Any ideas?

Also, since this program is not running OK, is it OK to disable it in msconfig/start and save some resources.

System restore is useless. I think it breaks more than it helps. Just disable it.

could it be that your installer is damaged?

could you get a new one?

also could you reformat your hard disk?

Everytime I re/instal a OS, usually every year, format is always part of the process. So it can not be a format problem. Probably just lousy WinME.

Anyway, disable is the solution.

I'll just regularly export a registry backup.
