DFI K6BV3+ and AMD K6-III+ CPU

I am trying to install an AMD K6-III+/450Mhz CPU in my DFI K6BV3+ motherboard. DFI says this motherboard supports this CPU, and my BIOS is the latest version(08-05-1999). I have triple checked all jumper settings and dip switches. I have even had someone else verify them. On boot-up my computer displays error message "unknown CPU-S 400Mhz" Subsequently my computer is locked up, and will not finish booting, or anything else. It still sounds like a BIOS problem to me. I hope someone has an answer, or can point me in the right direction. I have been at this problem for over a week now. Thanks.

yup it is a bios problem indeed....double check to be sure you have the latest bios.
