I still want to use Front Page 2003 with Windows7

I am getting "not enough memory" errors that lock up my system when I try to insert graphics on my website using Front Page 2003. I have tried reinstalling it, running the Windows 7 compatibility tool, cleaning my temp folder ..I really need to get this working so I can update my website. Any help would be appreceated.

More about front page 2003 windows7
  1. This is a known issue...you can find way around some of them, but i think better way is to run xp mode or virtual machine.
    xp mode: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx
    Virtual PC 2007: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=04D26402-3199-48A3-AFA2-2DC0B40A73B6&displaylang=en
    Vmware: http://www.vmware.com/

ps: you will have to move on sometimes....
  2. Interesting. I'm using Front Page 2000 on Windows 7 and it works just fine...
  3. I have a copy of 2003 on Win7-Ult x32.
    works fine, no issues.
  4. Perhaps it could be that this is a 64 bit version of Windows ...

  5. I was looking into that and I do not think so..

If you have Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate, you can install FrontPage in
the Windows XP virtual machine and use XPMode.

Try this: "To fix it I eventually opened a local web on my C:\ drive that and the went
in Frontpage to Tools | Site Settings | Advanced | Delete-Temporary Files.
This clears the FP temp file cache which I think causes this type of error..
    Hope that works for you."

Frontpage has been replaced by SharePiont Designer.
  6. No need to run it in virtual mode. I put Windows 7 64 bit in Classic Theme. Don't like the eye-candy anyway.

Classic Theme allows a lot of older programs to work great. I love Frontpage 2000 and will use it for a very long time...
