I was wondering if I could run crysis on ultra settings and still have a decent frame rate. Here are my specs:

Intel Core i7-720QM processor 1.60 GHz with Turbo Boost Technology up to 2.80 GHz;
6 GB DDR3 System Memory
500 GB (7200 RPM) Hard Drive
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650

I just ordered this computer online and was wondering. Also I am not planning on running it on highest res. I want to run it on 1280x720 on my tv.

Ummm....

No.

The desktop version of the HD 5670 can get about 27FPS using high settings with an Intel i7-920 2.67GHz CPU. The Mobility HD 5650 is nowhere near the performance of the desktop HD 5670. There are huge differences between desktop and laptop video card performance. See benchmarks for the HD 5670.

You should be able to run the game, but not on Ultra. The very latest desktop CPU/GPU combo's can just barely manage it, so a laptop doesn't stand a chance.

Do you already have the game or are you still thinking about buying it? If you've got it, just install it and play with the settings until you find a good balance between fps and visual quality.
