Getting BSOD Bad_Pool_Header 000000019 000000020 trying to install HP's
software that came with the new Lightscribe DVD burner. HP's support says
re-install Windows XP SP2 and try again. Anyone have a better answer than
this??

It sounds to me that the driver isn't compatible with XP SP2. So right
now until they update the driver, I believe the correct answer is to
uninstall SP2 and to leave it off.

Cheers!

Did you by any chance install Alcohol 120% burning software?

If you did then THAT is your problem. It installs a driver for it's virtual
drive that caused all kinds of problems with my HP dvd640b drive and my HP
ATi chipset motherboard until I finally figured out which two system files
to delete to completely restore my system to working order.

Used 120% in my older system for years and it rocks. It is simply not
compatible with my ATi chipset / Athlon64 HP (MSI oem) motherboard.

Just food for thought.

Which two system files were those?
