I picked up an Abit KT7A-RAID because the Abit KT7A (non-Raid) wasn't available.

My question is, I don't need RAID but want to use the ATA/100 capabilities of the Northbridge chipset. Can I set up a (ATA/100) HD to boot from the RAID connectors instead of the IDA (ATA/66) 1-2 ones?

Hey Dude, the KT133A, "A", is ATA100 capable without the RAID controller! The Abit KT7A-RAID contains this VIA chipset. This is one of the few selling points of the new chipset, besides the 133mhz FSB support. If you are not going to need the RAID Controller, disable it in the BIOS under integrated peripherals, and just use the IDE 1 connector for your hard disk. The KT133 chipset was ATA66 max, with the RAID being ATA100.
