Building a Cataclysm PC

I will be ordering a custom built PC sometime within this month. As of now my budget is $1500. However, all I need this PC to do is be able to run WoW Cataclysm with maximum graphichs, high framerates, and no lag. So, my dilema is even though i have $1500 to spend on this computer, if possible, I would like to spend less while still obtaining the goal in mind for this machine.

Right now I'm looking at:
i7-950 Processor
GTX 570 2gb (single card)
8GB RAM Dual Chanel - Considering 6GB or 12 GB so I can run Triple Channel

Would this build be overkill for Catalclysm and just a waste of money? What would be the ideal pieces of equipment to save money but still run CAT with fullspecs and max potential.

Well there's not much you could about the lag since that's mostly an internet thing

What resolution are you thinking of using?

You may find a game you really like that will require higher standards to play.

What screen do you have?

The system you have specified will eat Warcraft at 1900 x 1200.

Just watch the shadows and sunshafts.
