Elitegroup P6BX-A+ BIOS refuses to update

I tried to update the bios on my Elitegroup P6BX-A+ motherboard from v3.3e (it came with the board) to v3.4. I have followed all the instructions given on their website and some instructions I have seen on other sites. When I reboot initially it enters Windows fine, but on a restart it fails to detect any of the drives, memory, etc and freezes the PC. If I reset, it starts again until I have to restart.

Anyone got any suggestions on how to fix this one?

Yes you have to reduce the boot speed, to give the sys longer to recognise everything from a warm boot, I studied this a while ago, cant remember how to do this, so I will investigate and get back to you
