Hi,
If I purchase the USB data cable for this phone, will it allow me
to dump photos from the phone or has Verizon cripple that feature? I'm
strongly considering this phone now that Verizon has it for $50. Any
reasons to avoid it? I plan to use the national access feature to plug my
phone into a laptop and be able to get online from just about anywhere.
Thanks

If you buy the Mobile Office Kit (MOK) for this phone from Verizon, it will
allow you to connect your laptop to your phone an use the VZW network for
Internet. The MOK also has a contact sync software that will allow you to
download/upload phonebook entries from/to your phone.

Check this link out and see if the CDM9900 is supported by their software:

It isn't officially supported although the filesystem view should
probably work.

Also be aware that Audiovox phones have the flakiest firmware out
there. One wrong value anywhere and your phone won't boot ever
again ...

Is there a Mac version? Not looking forward to entering everything by
finger. Worth $50 to me.

Well, I guess I can answer my own question. Not only does the kit not
support Macs, there's no USB support!?

In addition, I have just seen the worst manufacturer website of the year.
