I have Asus' A7V133 with the VIA KT133A chipset. Whenever I enable the USB Function in the BIOS Windows finds new hardware (VIA PCI to USB Host Controller) and then locks up. If I let it sit, it will reboot itself and will usually give a window protection error. I have a TB 800MHz, 256MB PC133, SB Live, TNT2 M64 (32MB), DVD decoder card and a USB DSL modem. Tried instlling on a fresh Win ME install but got the same results. Is anyone else having this problem? Please help!!!!!!

I had the same problem with an A7V. I installed ME fresh and had the VIA USB driver as unknow devices. I experienced the crash as you described. Luckily, I had a checkpoint I could revert to. Then I went to device manager - selected the USB (which had the Yellow question mark) - selected updated driver - pointed it to my ME install directory and selected the MS USB drivers. After that everything O.K.
Hope this helps.
