Okay, I have an A7V with a Tbird 900 that runs stable at 1050. I have my memory running at 133 MHz.

I'm thinking of getting an A7V133 and have a question about the bus/ram speed settings. What I was thinking was this: Lowering the multiplier to 8x and running 8x133 = 1066 MHz with my ram at 166 MHz (it's really good infineon PC133 CAS 2 which I've tested to 164 MHz CAS 3 in another system). I read that once you hit 133 MHz fsb, that the ram must run in sync with the fsb.

My question is this: would I be able to go all the way up to 132 MHz with the ram async? ie fsb at 132 and ram at 165? That way I'd get the benefits of a faster fsb, greater memory bandwidth, and slightly more processor speed.

Why do I even try?

Nevermind. Anandtech just posted an article about the A7V133. I an only run async up to 121 MHz... I suppose I could run at 9 x 120 for 1080 MHz and have my ram at 150 MHz, but I don't know if it's worth the trouble of trying to sell this motherboard and buying a new one.
