Can anyone reccomend a good mid-tower case?

Value is the most important factor.
Somewhat on the bigger side of 'mid,'with at least a 300W supply.
Hopefully around $100.

Probably won't be doing too much overclocking, but the option would be nice.

Looks aren't super-important, but, well, it doesn't hurt either.

Thanks for any input!

Check out the Enlights, InWins, and Landmarks. I personally really like the Landmarks, though often the power supply needs to be upgraded.

Well, I'm not about to buy a case that needs a power supply upgrade right away. Also, the site you're pushing is terribly overpriced! But thanks, anyway.

I personally think that for about $50, the 300 watt Inwin is the way to go. I'm using an Enlight mid-tower that has pretty solid build quality, but poor air flow and a power supply that lacks bottom intakes (what AMD recommends). The Inwin has bottom intakes on the PS, better air flow, and a REAR exhaust fan. If you have $100, get the Antec performance series case, it has 2 exhaust fans and room for 2 intake fans. Air flow is very important, my lame-o Enlight case runs 2 degrees Celsius hotter with the suffocating face plate on, so I just leave it off. I'm gonna upgrade to an Antec case or one of those cool aluminum cases. If I feel cheap and not too lazy, I'll drill holes on that face plate.

I just bought a LIAN LI 70 (alluminum server box). Damn that box was expensive, but its a beautiful box, my temperature has dropped, I was worth every penny.

Here's the case I just ordered. Looks to be a good case, standard with an Enermax 300w PSU. And best of all, shipping is a flat $4 anywhere in the US, no matter what you buy.

Apple? Macintosh? What are these strange words you speak?

I am using an Enlight 7237 case, about 45 -60 bucks, with the extras fan i get pretty good air flow and a very easy to open case which is screwless!

I'm using that same case and I think that it has relatively poor air flow. I stuck 2 fans in there and am using a Taisol heat sink on my AXIA 1Ghz Athlon-C along with anal-retentive wiring and it can get up to 50 degrees celsius w/o the face plate (the temp range I get is 45-50). It gets even hotter with the restrictive face plate on, about 2 degrees hotter. I'm thinking of an Antec performance series mid-tower b/c you can stick 4 fans in there and is only $89 with a 300W PS. Those Enermax cases look like they're pretty high quality and they got the best power supplies out there, but I think air flow and cooling is the most important thing. And those aluminum cases are just way too expensive, considering that they don't even come with a PS.

I just purchased the Lian-Li PC60 Mid Tower Aluminum case. Let me just say this, it is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE, but, you get what you pay for. It is the most well built case I have ever used. Comes with 3 internal case fans, 1 exhaust and 2 intake. Does not come with a power supply, so that just adds to the cost. It is aluminum, and I have noticed a BIG dropoff in temp since I have switched to this case from my shitty generic one. Worth every penny to me, but it was a lot of pennies, especially considering no power supply. I reccommend it if you have the cash, you will definitely be happy. Plus it is bigger than most mid-tower cases. 8 drive bays or something like that.

I will agree with you nalaree that the aluminum cases are expensive, but there is nothing else like them on the market and you get what you pay for. They are EXTREMELY WELL BUILT!!! I mean, like a BMW vrs. FORD. You pay more, but it also shows in the quality, materials, and performance. By performance I mean running at lower temp, providing better airflow, etc...

So if you got the money, aluminum is the way to go. IMO

I agree that Aluminum cases are probably the best, but they're damn expensive. What sort of a temperature drop did you get with the aluminum case? I'm gonna probably get an Antec workstation case in a couple of days. I like the fact that it's not only roomy, but has the option of 2 intake and 2 exhaust fans. It also comes with a 300 watt PS and only costs $89. I'll post the temperature difference later.

Be careful with fans. A lot of the time, two good fans is better than 4 crappy fans (as are shipped with cases too much of the time), and consume less power.

I'm shopping for a new case too. Here are some good links:

Just finished setting up my new case and power
supply.
Antec SX 800 (no power supply)$56.00 U.S.
Antec PP352X (350 watt 2 fan power supply)$59.95 U.S.
This is a kick A$$ case, 2 80mm exaust,2 80mm intake fans.
Actually it has a place for a third 80mm fan mounted in front of the hard drive bay. This case was built to stay
cool and keep things cool.Just thought I would pass my
excitement on.

Rock out with your AMD out

Finally bought that Antec sx830 and got it set up. I'm pretty impressed with the build quality and my system now runs 2-3 degrees Celsius cooler compared to the Enlight mid-tower I was using. The case was only $40 more ($99.99) than the Enlight and both have 300watt PS. I'm sure it would run cooler if I added the additional 2 intake fans.
