Hey everyone. I'm deciding to upgrade my graphics card, which is an ATI Radeon HD 4830 and I need help since I don't know how to choose a card.

I want a single card that can run the latest games smoothly at very high settings averaging 30-40 fps.

My current specs if needed:
-Phenom II 955 BE
-6 GB G.Skill Ram (2 x 1 GB sticks and 2 x 2 GB sticks)
-ASUS M4A77TD AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
-and a Seasonic M12 620w PSU.

More about : decide graphics card

What's your budget? The GTX560Ti seems to be among the best bang for buck, but depends on Resolution and budget.

MY budget is around $200. I don't really care much for a high resolution. 1680x1050 is good enough for me. :]

your current graphics card does not let you play on high settings?

He's not asking what resolution you'd like, but what you have. What is your monitor resolution?

To answer your question, $200 will buy you just about the best card on the market. This, of course, if you don't care that it's used. I would look on a P2P exchange site like eBay or craigslist for a used card under $200. I bought my GIGABYTE HD 6870 for $202 on eBay about 2 months ago. It's clocked at 920/1090 and shreds every game out there.

for less $200 you can get a 460 gtx which should play everything fairly well (and going SLI with 'em will beat a 480)

Or spend a little more and pick up a 560 which roughly matches a 470 (which I can tell you plays everything at full...although I'm running an i5-750.)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

radeon 6870 1 gig, 199$ with mail-in-rebate , the ti 560 is more in the 230$+ spectrum so that doesnt work, unless he wants to spend the extra 50$

also there this card which is 169$ with rebate:

169$ after mail-in-rebate and its a 6850 :)

but for the extra money id go with the 6870 , but its up to u

both would make a fine choice to a gaming rig

You can get a 5850 or a fast gtx460 for under $200 right now. Both would be better than the 5830 at 16x10 resolution. ( reAD the specs on the 460's, they vary a lot ). I have a 5850....
