abit-kt7a-raid and win2k install

has anyone installed win2k on this motherboard using a raid 0 array? I can't get it to work. The manual says to set all the boot devices to ata100raid... but obviously you can't do that if you need to boot off the CD. So, I change the first boot device to CD in the BIOS, but later I always get trouble in the middle of the win2k installation during HD formatting/partitioning, and I believe that's why. Any ideas to work around this?

I've experienced partitioning problems on both the a7v and the kt7.

I would suggest that you do your partitioning on the ide controllers then switch over to the ata100 controllers after all the partitioning and installation has been completed. I believe w2k should then pick up the new devices (ata100).

I did it and it worked perfectly! I have the KT7A-RAID and (2) IBM 30 gig Deskstars stripped. There are two things you need to remember.... 1) to set the ATA100 as the first, second and thrid boot device in bios, and 2) to use the driver on the floppy disk (the Hot Rod) when the w2k install asks you for scsi drivers.

no brainer baby....
