I am playing wow on the computer posted below, I realize this is not a gaming computer but it was a gift from my family

couldn't afford to build my own computer and my sister insisted on one from best buy. I am upgrading the psu to 1000w and

upgrading video card to gtx 560 ti by sparkle. Next I am considering adding a video card in the pci express x1 slot. I need

help in choosing a good sound card and am wondering how sound cards affect fps in game. My budget for a sound card is

$50-$120 maximum. I am in Canada . Any comments and suggestions are appreciated.

well soundcards wont affect ur fps alot, in the old days onboard sound would affect ur
fps to a certain degree, today thats not the situation, if u want to upgrade to get greater sound than by all means i could suggest this:

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=40433&vpn=X-Raider%207.1&...

for 39$ :D

The X-raider is a good card, but it IS getting on in years. I'd be more tempted to recommend the ASUS Xonar DG, DS, or D1/DX.

That being said, sound cards do not improve FPS.
