Gigabyte 7zxr bios flash

Anyone else have this board and have you flashed the bios? I flashed my bios a couple of weeks ago, and the bootup is now so sloooooooooow! Puter runs fine after the initial boot, but man, it takes forever!

I have the same board except 1 less pci slot
i have the 7ZM
same board just 1 less pci slot and like $20 cheaper

yes i know how to flash it..
Go to www.giga-byte.com
go to the bios page and download the latest one for ur board.
Mine used to take 7-8 seconds afterpower on then FINALLY it booted up it like idled, with my new bios its normal now
but.. flashing it was easy.. download it extract to a folder
then reboot into dos.. im using windows ME so i had to use a bootup disk..
But..
after in dos go to the directory where u extracted the files too.. and my file was like...
flash828 or something like that
but if u type that it will tell you what commands to use
use the /i first to verify its the right one then the top 2 choices which are flash bios i think and flash vram or something.. then after those use /r to reboot
so all in all for example go
flash828 /i /b /n /r ENTER, the /b and /n are examples of the bios and vram thing
after rebooting u may get the message BAD CMOS checsum
dont worry it means stuff was changed in cmos-added new features or something just go into cmos and LOAD bios defualts save and exit , done..
but u will have to go back into cmos to enable all ur old settings like agp 4x and ur memory settings
