Crysis 2 on GTS250???

Here are my rig specs

Intel C2D E7500 @ 2.93Ghz
3gb DDR2 Ram @ 800Mhz
GTS250 512mb DDR3

My screen resolution is 1280x1024

I was wondering whether I could run Crysis 2 on Medium- High settings without AA at a playable FPS ( 30 above )

I can run Crysis 1 at high settings and get an average of 40fps and some people say that Crysis 2 will be less demanding though.

Anybody care to comment about this ??

Crysis 2 has similar requirements and is said to be more optimized than Crysis. I think the developers said you shouldn't experience any degrade in performance for the same graphic level at the minimum.

Meaning that if you got 30 fps on Crysis you should get 30+ on Crysis 2. You'll be able to play it. Although I doubt on high settings. I suspect that there will be a bigger jump at high settings, and it wont be helped by the fact that you don't have DX11 (which is a nice performance boost). But low-medium should be fine.

I guess we won't know until benchmarks start coming out and btw my friend downloaded the leaked version ( mods don't ban me pls ) and he got 30+ fps on high settings at 1920x1080 using a GTX260 ( not GTX460 ). Besides that, I saw the videos on the crysis 2 website and the graphics doesn't seem to be very appealing ( my opinion )

The multi player demo is out today. I'm downloading it now but not sure if is just direct x9. This might give you an idea.

Because its said that Crysis 2's graphics has the best graphics among the consoles. Not sure about killzone 3, but I am pretty sure its good.

no / thats not right . Crysis 2 is not much better than Crysis1
so u can get 30FPS on GTS250

hmm, strange, Iwe got about 30fps at high settings (1280x720) on my gts250... anyway Ive been managing to play almost all of new games at high settings with playeble FPS (BC2, Arkham, Just Cause 2, itd...) on my rig using PNY gts250 (OCed ofkoz+ Phenom II 955 3,8Ghz)...
