[citation][nom]welshmousepk[/nom]looks tiny. GTS220-240 perhaps?[/citation]
Considering the number of shaders (96), and some improvement, I think that it probably matches the 128 shaders of the GTS 250.

[citation][nom]Poisoner[/nom]If it is half of the GF104, its still going to be a huge die. The GF104 is bigger than the HD 5800 series die.[/citation]
He said half of gf106, not gf104... gf106 is rumored to be half of gf104 at 192 SP's, which would give gf108 1/4 the SP's of gf104.

[citation][nom]bebangs[/nom]hoping that it can support 3monitor surround gaming.[/citation]
ummm... not likely. Even if it supports surround gaming, the gf108 probably wouldn't be able to handle it very well.

The die size measures an estimated 130 mm2 which may point to the GF108 being half of a GF106, possibly giving it 96 SPs. There are also four memory chips in the front, and possibly four more in the back for a 128-bit memory interface. Interestingly, the chips are DDR3, not DDR5, which could put this straight to the entry level.
Looks more like a crippled G92.

Dear ZOTAC, (open letter, here),

I just purchased two of your passive-cooled (silent/fanless) GT240 for my current prosumer edit build.

Now, even before I could slap this rig together, the "Baby FERMIs" are hitting the channel.

Question: What is the most powerful "Baby FERMI" that can be passively cooled?

I'll be watching the channel, for your reply.

The only segments left to fill or replace is the HD5770/GTX260, HD5750/GTX250 and then a couple of very low/silent cards for the 9800gt and 9600/240 side of things. Hopefully they can shave of a few extra watts and lower the TDP to make a silent card. Any budget card I've included has either been for an office PC to allow extra monitors or to aid with video playback in which case the lower power and passive wins. If the GF108 shaves a bit extra off it would put it in the running in my ees from the 3 outputs and low power of ati cards

So nVidia has more leaks than a three day old diaper.
Isn't it about time heads started rolling over there?

Or is this a ploy for free press?
