A7V @ 133MHz

Okay, if this has been addressed elsewhere, please forgive me. I have been reading but have not seen this addressed explicitly.

I have an AMD TB800, an Asus A7V MB, and 256MB of PC133 memory. Can I or can I not run this setup at 133MHz? It would seem from all the documentation as well as the MB manual that it is possible.

I seem to be able to set the memory clock at 133, but if I
change the FSB speed from 100, it craps out. My guess is that the TB800 cannot handle the higher speed. If not, what speeds are possible? I have one of those boards with the 5-switch blocks so I can only pick from 100, 103, 105, 110, and 133.

Thanks!

You can't. The TB is not the problem. The KT133 chipset of your mobo won't go further than 110 mhz.

The A7V133 which has the KT133A chipset would allow you.

SEARCH FIRST, THEN POST

juanmi,

Thanks for the info. I did search first, but there is a TON of info about the A7V, A7V133, and the like. RTFM, I know.

Thanks,

My KT7A runs very fine at 117. But I am running it at 110 - 112 just to be safe. 900mhz CPU runs cooler at 110 than at 100 for some reason...

K7 + KT7A + MX300 + VooDoo3000 =
P3 + CUSL2-C + MX300 + Asus7700 =
