WTF?!
No seriously, THG has a post about it in the Oct 12 Hard News, and yet I see no one out there perhaps mentioning it widely, or even some panicking?
Could someone fill me in on the last time a news of the end of the world didn't shake anyone?
This is weird, and I hope this is a hoax or joke, cuz just the idea that a tech website links us to Yahoo news, is scary.

Well if it's in Hard News it must be true.
Wingding - proof of the need for genetic screening
Why are you afraid? Why panic? Why worry? It's gonna happen whether you want it to or not. So go out and live your life the way you think you should. No regrets, don't hide anything from anyone. Tell people how you really feel. Kinda like pike is doing now. Then end of the world shouldn't bother anyone. Just think of it as going to sleep and never waking up.

Yeah, but what about the poor guys who haven't had the opportunity to bonk someone and show their o face
Well, 6 years for that. Eden, dun worry, worst case, they'll make a giant amd cpu and run it w/o heatsink where sun is, and it'll give off light as it burn. hehe.

For all you poor virgins, my ass is ready to receive your inexperienced members.
If you need extra lubrication, simply pick off one of the scabs and ooze it in with the pus.

You've got a hand and some magic markers. Heck just use a pumpkin like that one fellow.

Well it stand under gossib... and I checked the ESA site and the site of a famous Dutch astronomist and there is nothing about it.
The Earth's diameter is 12756 km. 30x12756=38260 km. Solar flares are known to get lenghts of several 100000 kilometers.

We thought that it was funny, so we put it in the news section. The article at Yahoo is even more funny. The info was sent in by a reader, so we thought it was a good chance to bring it to your attention.
Poor Eden, I think u guys gave him a heart attack
What if you had admin rights to life?
You weren't really worried were you? Look at it from the bright side....when the sun blows up you won't even know about it for 8.5 minutes.

Even more, because the shockwave may travel slower than c.

Yar, we'll just put Tony the Tiger out there and he can take all the energy for us; he'll become super charged w/o frosted flakes.
What if you had admin rights to life?
Wooow...
that was a relaxed feel!
Thanks to you and svol for confirming. I was at my friend's house today and told him this, and indeed it made no sense. 6 years in star life is relatively small, like a nanosecond can be so important to the CPU but for us it's NOTHING!
So it'd make no sense that in 6 years the sun'd evolve so quickly.

As much as I like your attitude to be happy-go-lucky, and go far without worries, I think this part is something I truly cannot possibly agree with. I am one of those people who are extremly overconscious, I feel my soul. When I think of the end, I just plain worry, some may take the bright road but I have the selfish way of worrying about myself and fearing it's all over.
Sorry bub, can't sympathize here, at least it was fake...

I'm calling wingding for mouth to mouth right now!!
What if you had admin rights to life?
It'd probably be a little less... The gravitational waves would get here a little earlier
Some day I'll be rich and famous for inventing a device that allows you to stab people in the face over the internet.
hahah yeah. I read it and was thinking 6years? more like 60 million, given the general Hydrogen consumption.

I think it's closer to 6 billion...
Some day I'll be rich and famous for inventing a device that allows you to stab people in the face over the internet.
According to my astronomical calculus calculations, u forgot to carry the 2, so actually it's 60 billion
J/k, I have no idea, if it blows, it blows, maybe I'll fly for a little
What if you had admin rights to life?
While during that time, wingding will enjoy shagging the unattentive crowd which looks at the sun changing forms...!

Yeah. whatever the number i dont think we will have to worry about it.
Even when it does end its hard to determine where the end IS.
The sun will swell in stages as the hydrogen then helium is all consumed, scorching then eventually vaporising our planet. Then eventially i think it goes pop, and the remnants shrink into a white dwarf star that eventually fades to a cold black dwarf.
These processes alone will take millions if not billions of years.

Haha, the earth will get swallowed up by the volume of the sun far before it explodes or implodes or whatever.
Intelligence is not merely the wealth of knowledge but the sum of perception, wisdom, and knowledge.
No it won't. If I get hungry enough one day, I'll eat the earth and the sun.

I have no regrets. If I died now I'd be a happy man. I'm somewhat religous also. I mean I go to church but not every sunday. I my mind I know exactly where I'm going after I die. So what's to worry about?
Time Management is very important, a bucket with a small leak in the botom loses just as much water as a bucket that is kicked over.
Scientists have discovered that all relgious people will be going to hell. They're still not sure about the rest of humanity, but so far experiments show that they end up in either Heaven or Disneyland.

Disneyland or disney world? It's a big difference

Disneyland.
Although some subjects have been sent to Eurodisney in Paris. Most of those people were religious at one point in their life but not when they died. They got caught in the middle apparently. Not quite hell, not quite heaven.

I'd take Disney World.

I was religious, though if you have seen my very open minded poll in the POLL forum, I have huge beliefs relating to John Edwards' ones, about life after death being the spirit life.

81 is right though!
Your gonna die anyway.
Sooner or later and the result will be the same and so just get READY now!
No f*cking around!
I must admit not being able to do this 100%, but the best and most energetic way to live is as if you are going to die in the next instant!
No more lying to yourself, no more putting the important things off: tell him/her how you feel, stop eating, look around at what you see, the people, the loved ones, they are what counts, not the f*cking THINGS around you!
In your last seconds of life: "Are you gonna spend them playing that RPG game or TOUCH a fellow humand being instead?"
Just more food for though people, no need for sarcasm here, k?
I Love You

This is my policy, you needn't give me that reality check!
My policy is to live to the max, I try to make every moment as much fun. In my old topic where I had problems with people BSing work and procrastination (not anymore with the latter), I had said how I have a rather hedonistic view, PUSH your family to do things with others, don't just be bored!

man, that would be awsome if we knew the world were going to end in 6 years, well maybe if just i knew. i would eat chocolate sundays for dinner every night. and eat tons of bacon for at least 4 meals a day, then for sure i would smoke 2 cigars every day. just think about it! dont have to worry about retirement, dont have to worry about your health, no worrys at all!!! then on that day, i would do all the stupid stuff i always wanted to try but never did. of course it would suck if it turned out to be a hoax.
how do you shoot the devil in the back? what happens if you miss? -verbal
lol. That would suck just a bit.

Everyone is so worried about the sun exploding and being fried to a crisp. Fear not, I have the answer to all your prayers.
It is a proven scientific fact that being butt-humped by Wingding has a stabilising effect on the violent nuclear forces within the sun. It is also very good for your complexion and will make you immediately more attractive to the opposite sex.
Bend over and let salvation enter you.........
