ABIT BX6 - Identity & Capability

I have an ABIT BX6 motherboard fitted with a PII 266 MHz processor. I am considering upgrading the processor and would appreciate some advice. e.g.
Is it a worthwhile proposition ?
How can I tell if it is a version 1 or 2 motherboard ?
Which processors are supported ?

1-Definitly worth it
2-look for marking on the board
3-check Abit's website, if it supports Coppermines it should support at least 800 with proper bios.
