Mass effect 2 not responding windows 7

Hello,
I recently bought mass effect 2 and the installation seemed like it went fine, but when I open it and press play it keeps telling me the program is not responding. I have downloaded all the patches and taken other advice I've seen on the forums, but it still won't work. What do I do? I have Windows 7 and intel pentium dual core processor T4400

It should work. Try uninstalling it and reinstalling. I had a similar issue with Fallout 3 and Windows 7.
