Games running slow all of a sudden

Hey so I have had problems running some of the games coming out. I have tried dragon age origins 2 demo and got an extremely slow fps with the full graphics. I have also had problems with bulletstorm metro 2033 mafia 2 and some others. My pc specs: AMD Phenom II X4 810 2.60 GHz 8gb of RAM Windows 7 64bit a nvidia gtx 470 and a 850w power supply. I don't know too much about computers but I would think I can run these games HELP!!
