Solution
Actually you don't with W7, all you will neeed to do is install the drivers for the new motherboard and reactivate Windows (you have 3 days).
My mb died and I replaced mb with different make new cpu and ram and my pc booted fine, I installed the mb drivers and phoned Microsoft to reactivate.
Smmoth as.

You have to reinstall the OS, and re-formatting the disk is an option during installation (and I highly recommend doing this). Keep in mind, though, that everything on the disk will be gone (documents, programs, etc) so back up your data first.
