You meet the GPU requirements. I'm strained to say no! Even if you were to run it on the lowest settings, you'd be playing the game in a slideshow manner!

It would be incorrect to say that you "cant" play GTAIV on your PC. 'Playing' and 'playable' are two different things. WShile you may be able to 'play' the game on your setup, it won't be 'playable', i.e, you'll be getting way low FPS. Keep in mind that GTAIV is really heavy on the CPU, not so much on the GPU. Since your CPU is running @3Ghz, it won't give you 'playable' FPS.

A quad core above 2.4GHz, 4gb 800MHz+ Ram, a cheap graphics card with 512mb Vram...
GTAIV is more cpu dominant than with the gpu. As long as you have enough vram, the gpu side hardly matters as much. Honestly though, it's boring that there's the constant, "Will my P4 run GTAIV/Crysis?" At this point people should search on google before making a thread.

Enjoy your gpu "that hardly matters" for gta 4.
But i still advice for a gtx 460 or better.
I have played since its release, and still play the game, i know my point.
It eats up your vram yes but really gpu Dependant too, my quad stay at 80% whilst gtx 460 oc stays at 90-100%.
