Fixes a conflict between the promise controller and the PCI #2 slot. You can find it at the Asus site or there is a link at www.amdzone.com.
I have not flashed it yet but people say it works fine.

I flashed to 1007. I couldn't boot past the windows splash screen. I tried several times.
The bios I used was called a7v1007.awd.
It flashed correctly without error however I just couldn't get into windows Me. This is the first time I have ever had any problems with an A7V bios.
I flashed back to the 1006 bios and all is well.
Do with this info what you will.

Sorry, I can't back this up because I can't find the link.

I thought I read somewhere that after installing 1007 you have to reset the CMOS.

If you want to try it again.

im stickin to 1005c, and unless later bioses can fix known issues with my specific configs i rather enjoy a fully operational computer not ruining it flashing beta bioses, but you guys have fun and let us know
and bubba, is 1006 really any better than 1005c? just wonderin if its worth the trouble

My name is Mud.

The 1006 bios is better in my opinion. It changed the Promise bios from build 33 to build 35. This fixed my boot-up time delay. Now there is no delay. This is the only difference I noticed but it is a major difference to me.
