After flashing the BIOS, I am prompted for a boot disk.

I'm 100% positive it was the right BIOS, or I wouldn't be talking to you now. In fact, the computer is faster in all of my benchmarks.

Gateway, has been pleasant, but not especially helpful in the tech support department.

Another thing; It said something about CMOS not being configured and prompted me straight to the setup utility. I have tried several different boot up configs...each to no success.

So, anyone?

Maybe I didn't make the problem clear to all. Basically, everytime I start my system up, it prompts me for a boot disk. I can give it one, and everything works fine, but I don't want to have to do this every single time.

check what device you are booting from first in bios, it probably got screwed up in the flash. Just change all the bios settings back to the way you had them before the flash and save. Should fix the problem

Lets face it people, there are stupid people and stupid questions!
