Need to support a legacy ISA custom Token Ring NIC on a integrated mobo. Everything (ethernet NIC, audio, USB, etc.) is now disabled but it still does not work. Card works on many other systems/chipsets but not this one with i820 chipset. Previously had card working in many different PCs with 440BX chipset.

Is the LPC interface with this chipset a real ISA legacy interface or is it *ntel hype?

Could anyone suggest what is possibly wrong? Went through and changed/reserved IRQs, Base I/O addresses, etc. in BIOS and OS (Win98SE) but no luck.

Thanks for any help!!!

you are likely using a on compliant non plug and play ISA card

the 820 chipset is excellent, and has no issues with nic cards, except those that are out of the PnP ISA spec..
