FPS in WOW help. very bad. what else can i do?

hello all

when i get into 25 man raids it lags to the point of 1-5 fps or less. it is bad.

whats going on? can anyone help? i have lowered the settings to the lowest and recommended settings and same thing.

i have reformatted, re-installed drivers. both video (ati) and directx.

i have restarted lots

what else can i do.

AMD 965 3.4 ghz cpu
12 GB ddr3 ram
dual xfx 6950 2gb gpu in chrossfire
1000w psu
dual 1tb WD carver black.
windows 7 ultimate x64
norton from comcast

what resolution do you play at?
Whats the name of that 1kw psu?
Can you please uninstall norton and see if it performs better

WoW does not like xfire. Remove 1 card and try it.

I havent raided yet but I just got the one card 6950 and in questing a get highs of 110fps and lows of around 70fps. So yeah maybe turn off xfire

something was wrong with my cpu. the cool n quite was dropping to 800mhz.

i turned off the cool n quite and its fine... full raid on ultra max res. no lag at all.

good to hear I shouldnt have issues raiding :)  thanks what FPS you getting in raid ?

honestly i do not look at FPS.... some places say 60 is the max for wow. i dont know.

but the game runs very smooth. after about 50-60 fps all the rest is waste.

game runs very smooth with 25+ people all casting at the same time.

i also run 2 wows from time to time and have no problems with one wow on each screen full sized with no problems.

Wow WoW 2 account your a deticated player lol. after 60 you wont see a diff becaus most screens have a 60 fps refresh rate. But there are some ive seen with 75ish. So in that case you would see the extra 15 FPS and then anything over 75FPS would not be noicable.

sitting at 60fps the entire time.... i hear you can up it but i do not see a point.

smooth as butta with 2 open full screen on both monitors on ultra.

60 fps and nothing lower.

Yeah the only way to up it would be to turn off vsync. That will show higer numbers and look the same maybe worse if you end up with screen tearing. Thanks for the update :)
