Strange HOMEFRONT lag

Ok, i installed Homefront. Started the game, went to an online practice map and the game ran perfectly smooth. came out of game to start ventrillo. started game again and it was bad choppy. dropped graphics to very low and still choppy. updated video drivers, still choppy. Cant get it to run smoothly again.
My System:
Asus crosshair formula IV mobo
1090T 6 core cpu @ 3.21ghz
750 watt kingwinpsu
8ghz Gskill ripjaw series 1600 memory
HD5770 graphics card
patriot inferno 60 gig SSD
coolit eco alc liquid cooling system
1TB samsung HDD

I also tried to run it with no ventrillo and still bad choppy. Please help. Very frustrated.

HAHA im getting these serious lags also even tho i turned all settings to high but changing the field of view would help a little. Im using hd5770 also but mine is in a crossfire setup

The best idea is to contact the developers personally using the forums they hardly reply to.

Although a possible patch that seriously fixes bugs should be coming out, personally I get 40-70fps with a single 5770 on max settings at 1680x1050. I turned Vsync off and smoothing, along with going into config and changing the min and max fps from 30 to 120.

actualy i figured it out. change the aspect ratio. worked fine.
