Help!!stalker stuttering problems

hello does any one know how to fix the stuttering in stalker call of pripyat its really bad in some parts and no existent in others
i dont believe its any thing to do with my computer but hears my spec:

amd athlon x3 440@3.5ghz

asus m4a7 8lt-m le

4gb kingston ddr3 2000mhz

gtx 260 192 @1125vl/670-1426-1270

antec 1000 watt psu

1tb samsung 7200

I don't think the stutter correlates to the gpu- it happened to me at times on all the Stalker games, and always around the same areas. What helped me was the -nopretch fix; in Prypiat you need to download a mod to help. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1151553
