Yeah if you have a second drive that'll be easiest. Might as well use the entire drive for linux too... The simplest partitioning would be:
28 gigs /
2 gigs linux swap
I'd actually do something like this:
12 gigs /
26 gigs /home
2 gigs linux swap
But that's just me
