ASUS P2B HELP!

I'm upgrading my machine. I have an ASUS P2B-DS MB with a single PII 400mhz chip. I'm trying to find out what the maximum chip speed this board will accept and also if an ASUS 7700 GeForce2 64MB card will work with this MB.

I'm also planning to add a 60GB HD and another 256MB RAM to the 128MB RAM. The RAM should be fine, but will the new HD work fine on my ASUS MB?

Thanks in advance for any help!

What revision board do you have? The revision # will be printed on the board between the PCI and/or ISA slots. If you let me know I can give you more details.

It all hinges on that. I have an:
Asus P2B-D
Dual PIII-800E cB0 SECC2 @ 900
256MB PC133
AGP Radeon 32 SDR @ 185/185
PCI Abit Highpoint 370 ATA100 RAID controller
PCI Intel pro management network card
PCI SBLive Value
ISA 3COM WinModem
Plextor 12/10/32 CD-RW
Panasonic 8/32 DVD-ROM
20GB Quantum Fireball (Applications)
30GB Maxstor RAID 0 array (Data)

and it's pretty darn fast so don't give up on that P2B yet!

That's a sweet config you have on your board. Like to have something like that too!

The number on my P2B-DS is Rev. 1.04

Thanks for the help!

I was wondering if you got my last reply to you regarding my P2B-DS motherboard rev 1.04? Would really like to know if I can add those peripherals or not for this revision.

Anyway, if I don't hear from you in the next little while I'll just head over to my local shop and see what will work on this board.

Hope to hear from you on this soon.
Thanks.
