My Fram rate slowed down, why?

I recently upgraded my motherboard and GPU. I went from a GTX460 to a GTX570. since the upgrade I've noticed a huge Framrate drop and I have no idea why. I downloaded all the latest drivers for both motherboard and GPU. also my CPU is running very hot now. is this because of the new motherboard? could this high temp CPU cause framrate problems?

On my motherboard temp reads around 70 idle. In game upder 90s. Oh, and i didnt add any new thermal grease to cpu when i switched it over to new board if that makes a difference on the temp.

idle is 77 celsius load is in the 90s. so you think leaving the old thermal paste on cpu and not adding new paste is the problem? or the new higher end motherboard? I ordered me a new heatsink for good measure.

All my fans are running fine. My GPU is idle at around 44. I was told to use 90% alcohol to clean old paste. Its just hard to find 90% alcohol. All i find is 50%.
