Mics for Voicechat?

I play quite a bit of Team Fortress 2 and other similar games, however, I do not have a mic and consequently sometimes I feel like I am not participating in the game as much as I could be. I've been wondering what some of the best headset mic solutions are. I have a set of 5.1 speakers that I really enjoy using, so is there anything available I could use with those that wouldn't cause feedback or pick up too much background noise?

Any decent mic will work. If you are worried about feedback from your speakers, just go into the team fortress 2 voice settings and set it to "push to talk" instead of "voice activated" that way you won't mistakenly activate the mic.

There are also several 5.1 headset options that are both simulated an actual. I recommend the Tritton Ax 720 Pro.
