hi, i think we need a little more info. how often does this happen? if it doesn't happen each time can you predict when it's going to happen? how far into the boot process does it get? can you see the windows splash screen, or the desktop? have you tried booting by confirming which drivers to load? if you've built 3 seperate systems around the same MB how many of the other components are also common and which ones? were all 3 systems os's installed from the same disk? Have you checked with the MB support web page for updated drivers? if it's a common problem with the board the web page may have a fix or answer in the FAQ's section. hope this helps, john

1. Pull all the cards except video
2. Install Windows98
3. Install 4-in-1 drivers
4. Install video drivers
5. Switch BIOS to PNP-OS-No
6. Install the modem, then software
7. Install the soundcard, then software
8. If this process fails, you will know what is causing the problem. BTW, VIA has no compatability or stability issues (cough)!
