Hi All,
Can someone explain to me the differences between SlotA and SocketA mobo and CPU. I get confused of this easily.
Thanks for helping me.

ONE IS A SLOT, THE OTHER IS A SOCKET!!! ok, seriously...the slotA mobo's are for the original or "clasic" athlons and slot style thunderbirds (cartridge cpu's). the socketA mobo's are for socketA thunderbirds (the square cpu's). slotA is dead (no more chips will use this format). socketA is what you would want to buy.

Thank you, ledzepp98. Your explanation helps me stop thinking about slot-A mobo/cpu but to focus on the newer stuffs (i.e. socket-A mobo/cpu). Thanks.
