Abit KA7 and slot-A Thunderbird?

I recently got a Slot-A Thunderbird cpu and tried to put it in an Abit KA7 mb. It gives me "CPU is unworkable...check Softmenu III" Are these compatible???

No they are not your board uses the via kx-133 chipset which is incompatable with the slot a t-birds. to use a slot a bird you will need the older amd "irongate chipset".
What do you want for the slot a bird?
