Florida Coverage Question

I am currently with AT&T Wireless and am thinking of switching. Coverage is
the main issue with me. I leave in Gainesville so that is the most
important. With AWS I get spotty coverage in the triangle between
Gainesville, Tallahassee, and Jacksonville. How is the coverage there?
Also of lesser important how is it the southern triangle of Gainesville,
Orlando, and Tampa?

Thanks in advance... Fred

I live in Atlanta but have clients in Tallahassee and Jax, my son is a
Gator-- so I spend a lot of time in the area.

I get very solid coverage throughout. There were are a few small soft
spots/holes out on the barrier island about 30 miles south of Jax when I was
there 2-3 years ago. I don't know how it is now though.

Thanks.

Does anyone else have experiences in those areas?

I ive in Sarasota which is just south of Tampa and coverage was always
satisfactory. All (except some panhandle county) of VZW coverage is in the
1900 Mhz band so you might have some inbuilding issues (rare though) but on
the west coast of Florida youll just switch over to Alltel in the 800Mhz .
Not sure about Orlando but whenever I drove through it was allways fine,
even in infamus I-4 traffic.
