Whenever I boot up, I get the error message "CPU has changed or is unworkable". I press F1 to continue the boot.

When I go into softmenu the CPU Speed is reset to 300 (its lowest setting).

If I change the parameters of the clock speed/multiplier it does POST the new settings, but I still get the error message.

Any help would be appreciated as although it isn't life threatening, it is annoying! :)

Thanks.

You have your BIOS set wrong, there is a setting in there to tell if the other settings are modified, you have to disable it. And unless your are running a very OLD processor, multiplier settings are locked internally, so changing them in BIOS does nothing. You can only change the bus speed to overclock!
