I upgraded to winXP from WinME several months ago. Everything was right.
Some day ago, I formatted the disk and installed that WinXP directly. The problem appeared. I use common 56K modem. I don’t know why the system just does not remember my password in dial-up network. I’m so tired to type the password again and again when I log on.

Will anyone help me?

im not sure i understand you completely. are you talking about the dial up connection you created not remembering your password? have you checked the box "rememeber password"? have you disabled any services in xp?

how do you shoot the devil in the back? what happens if you miss? -verbal

Of course, I checked the box "remember password". Plus, I tried those 2 options under, but neither worked.

I disabled ¡°Remote Registry¡± service, but I don¡¯t think it has anything to do with the problem.

Thank you.

One of my friends said he came across the same problem when using win2k pro. While I didn't have the problem under 2k.
That must be a tricky problem!?
