Hello, I have a 21" asus monitor but it doesn't have a hdmi slot so I'm wondering if i can use my monitor for my 360 if i get a dvi to hdmi cable?
I'm just wondering if that would work?

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I'm running my PS3 in HDMI -> DVI and it looks great. It should work the same for the Xbox 360.

I also used an Xbox 360 composite -> VGA and that worked fine as well (in case you want to try VGA instead of DVI). Purists will tell you that the image quality of VGA is worse than DVI and DVI isn't as good as HDMI; well, the truth is you probably won't be able to tell the difference. It's all 1080p and still looks great.

Hope I helped.

Oh yeah, you'd better figure out how you're going to get sound as well. I don't think DVI carries a sounds signal, so you should do some research in outputting audio/video separately on the Xbox 360.

Cheers.

hmm Couldn't I just use a headset because it has optical audio?

Sorry, I only ever had the old 360 that didn't have HDMI or optical audio :p

I guess you'll be fine because you've got the new stuff :D
