I am upgrading my computer and need help !
Will the athlon t/bird 1200 c (with the 266fsb) go in my mothboard ? Or do i need to get the 200 fsb version ?
My motherboard

Asus A7V (not the A7V133)

I see in the bios that the FSB will go up to 133
Am I missing something?
Hope someone out there can help PLEASE PLEASE !!
Thanks in advance

It says it will go up to 133 but they are lying to you it will only hit about 115 before it starts to crap out. With that board you can use a “C” chip but it will only run at 200 mhz fsb.

I didn't think the 266FSB chips could be used on the A7V 200FSB board.
I could be wrong. If it could, why would they bother making 200FSB chips?
The A7V133 can do both but I think the A7V can only do 200FSB.

Lovin' those wobly lumps of 90% fat

The original KT133 chipsets usually don't work at very much above 110MHz FSB, whereas the newer KT133A chipset is good for 133MHz+. I have both an A7V and an A7V133.
